Agreements & consent
Please read and confirm the following to proceed. These are required by the Financial Conduct Authority.
Important information
As your complaint relates to financial services, you are not required to use the services of a firm which carries out regulated claims management activity to pursue your claim. It is possible for you to present the claim for free, either to the firm or individual against whom you wish to complain, or to a statutory ombudsman or the Financial Services Compensation Scheme.
If the firm or individual who advised you is currently authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority, you do not need to use a claims management company to make a complaint. Simply ask the firm or individual for a copy of their Complaints Procedure and follow this. If you are dissatisfied with the response you receive, you can refer it to the Financial Ombudsman Service yourself for free.
Financial Ombudsman Service: Exchange Tower, Harbour Exchange, London, E14 9SR. Consumer helpline: 08000234567.
Financial Services Compensation Scheme: 10th Floor Beaufort House, 15 St Botolph Street, London, EC3A 7QU. Consumer helpline: 0800 678 1100.
Client agreement & fees
If we are unsuccessful in securing an offer of compensation for you, you will not have to pay any fee. If we are successful, our success fee is calculated as 15% (plus VAT) of the gross amount of the compensation in settlement of a claim and the maximum we will charge is £7,500 (plus VAT) under the agreement.
Typical examples: £1,000 compensation = £150 fee (£180 inc. VAT) | £10,000 = £1,500 (£1,800 inc. VAT) | £20,000 = £3,000 (£3,600 inc. VAT) | £85,000 = £7,500 (£9,000 inc. VAT).
You have a 14-day cooling off period from the date you sign this agreement during which you can cancel without charge. After 14 days, cancellation fees may apply at £75 + VAT per hour for work carried out. Full terms are available in our Client Agreement.
