About Compensation Adviser

We’re a Claims Management Company That Takes Financial Mis-Selling Seriously

Compensation Adviser is a regulated claims management company, helping individuals understand whether they have been mis-sold a financial product – and where they have, pursuing compensation on their behalf.

We work with people who have been affected by scams and fraud, mis-sold investments, unaffordable lending and a wide range of other financial products where the rules were not followed and consumers paid the price.

We deal with the financial institutions, so you don’t have to – making the claims process as straightforward and stress-free as possible.

The Financial Industry Has Rules. Not Everyone Follows Them

Every year in the UK, thousands of people are sold financial products that were never right for them.

Loans extended to people who clearly could not afford them. Investments recommended without proper explanation of the risks. Overdrafts renewed automatically without affordability checks. Scams that may not have been detected in time by banks.

In some cases, firms may not have followed FCA rules, Financial Ombudsman Service guidance, or met their duty of care. But the majority of people affected never make a claim. Not because they are not entitled to – but because they do not know where to start, they assume it will be complicated, or they believe nothing will come of it.

Compensation Adviser exists to change that

We handle the process from start to finish. We know how to assess a case, how to submit a complaint, how to escalate to the Financial Ombudsman Service when necessary, and how to help our clients pursue compensation and navigate the process.

What We Can Help You Claim

We review and manage claims across a range of financial products and situations:

Scam and Fraud Claims If you were the victim of an authorised push payment scam, romance scam, impersonation fraud, purchase scam, or invoice fraud, you may be able to claim a refund depending on the circumstances. We assess your case and manage the process.

Crypto and Investment Scams Fraudulent trading platforms and fake investment schemes have cost UK consumers hundreds of millions of pounds. If you were targeted, we investigate your options for recovery.

Mis-Sold Investments If you were advised to invest without being properly informed of the risks, if the product was unsuitable for your circumstances, or if returns were misrepresented, you may have grounds for a mis-selling claim.

What Sets Us Apart

We are FCA regulated – and that matters.  Not all claims management companies are equal. Some operate as unregulated lead generators, passing your details to third parties. Compensation Adviser is directly authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority to carry out regulated claims management activity. That means we are held to strict standards of conduct, transparency, and client care. You are protected.

We are transparent about fees – always.  Our success fee is 15% plus VAT of the compensation recovered, capped at a maximum of £7,500 plus VAT. There are no hidden charges, no upfront costs, and no payment at all if your claim is unsuccessful. You will always know exactly what you stand to receive before you proceed.

We do the work so you don’t have to.  Pursuing a financial complaint can be time-consuming, technical, and frustrating — particularly when dealing with large institutions. Our team manages the correspondence, the evidence gathering, and the submissions. You stay informed at every stage without having to fight the battle yourself.

We tell you the truth.  If we do not believe your case has merit, we will tell you – clearly and without pressure to proceed. A free assessment means exactly that. We would rather give you an honest answer upfront than pursue a claim we do not believe in.

How Financial Mis-Selling Claims Work in the UK

Understanding the regulatory landscape helps explain why claims like these are valid and why they succeed.

The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) sets the rules that all regulated financial firms must follow. These include obligations around suitability of advice, affordability assessment, fair treatment of customers, and protection against fraud.

The Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS) is an independent body that adjudicates disputes between consumers and financial firms. It upholds a significant proportion of the complaints brought to it each year – particularly in areas such as unaffordable lending, mis-sold investments, and scam-related bank complaints.

The Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS) provides protection in cases where an authorised firm has failed and cannot pay claims itself.

As a regulated claims management company, we work within this framework on your behalf – understanding the standards each body applies, how to present evidence effectively, and when and how to escalate a complaint for the best outcome.

Your Right to Claim Without Us

We are required to make this clear, and we do so willingly – because we believe in being straightforward.

You do not have to use a claims management company to pursue your claim. You can complain directly to the financial firm involved, take your case to the Financial Ombudsman Service, or apply to the Financial Services Compensation Scheme – all free of charge.

We exist because many people find the process easier with professional support. But the choice is always yours, and there is no obligation attached to your free initial assessment with us.
